Cultivating a reverence for restoration
When was the last time that you allowed yourself to rest deeply?
To rest when you're not sleeping?
To rest without technology, without stimulation, without agenda?
Deep Rest is an immersive experience designed to promote internal restoration and healing. Through the intentional integration of restorative yoga, meditation and Yoga Nidra, students are invited to experience the benefits of 'rest without agenda'.
Exploring themes of permission, compassion, release and connection, this unique offering weaves together the ancient teachings of Buddhism and yoga with the modern insights of neuroscience and mindfulness.
Deep Rest is a monthly practice, open to beginners through to advanced practitioners. It is a non-gendered and trauma-sensitive practice that embodies community-centred principles of accessibility and inclusivity. The practice is welcoming of people with injuries and people with disabilities.
Offered at studios in and around Melbourne, the practice is generally synchronised with the New Moon in honour of the ancient teachings that associate this point of the lunar cycle with introspection, rest and integration.
